Stick it good - Wall decals you will actually want on your walls

I always liked the idea of big graphic wall decals and had played with the idea of using them in my house, but as it ended up , the only ones we ever bought were Winnie the Pooh for my daughter’s nursery. Not exactly cutting edge design. When I saw that my local dollar store was starting to carry “Hip” wall decals, I figured that trend was pretty much over.

I was so wrong. Companies like Blik, Walltat, and Fathead have broken away from the Parisian skyline, flowers down the wall style of decal (although there is still a nice selection of those types if you are interested) and are working with established and up-and-coming artists to create wall art that is fresh, innovative and not at all cookie cutter.

  1. Wow, those are really cool! Much better than Winnie-the-Pooh decals ;-)

  2. I love these!! I wish I was brave enough to try them on my walls.

  3. Those are really unusual and inventive. Wall decals have certainly evolved from that customary one-color cut-out. I had to do a double take on some of them. Neat!

  4. These are all very creative and cool finds, thanks for sharing!

  5. Wow. These are great. For some reason, I thought fathead only did lifesize athlete wall decals!

  6. these are so cool! i especially love 'ascend' and the bust.

  7. i LOVE that snow white print! a little bit creepy, yet awesome at the same time!

  8. love this collection! good to see something different x

  9. very cool way to put up art and images on your wall.
    Thanks for the visit.

  10. Thanks for stopping by my blog, this post is great I especially love the claw foot tub! Enjoy Spring!

  11. A couple of these are not my style but that is what makes them great! They are definitely out-of-the-box design wise from other decals and would spice up any space.

  12. A few of those are a little dark/creepy, but I love the idea of putting something different on the wall...if I ever move somewhere the walls are not cinderblock, I am totally going with something from one of these places, or a shop on etsy. I'm not a country style decorator in general, but this chicken makes me smile:

So my post helped you with your spoons!

  13. Nice! I have a world map decal on my livingroom wall that I purchased on etsy. I LOVE it!

  14. I am so glad you are all enjoying the decals. I thought they were pretty cool myself.

@harmless - totally. I was pretty much just using my spoons as display, but now I am going to oil them up and put them to use.

  15. Is it really easy and safe (to the wall) to peel them off?
We live in a rental house and cannot hang anything on the walls which makes our place a very minimalist one...

I need one of these... Loving especially the stunning second one.

  16. @Galit - It depends. They won't damage the wall, but some are easier to remove then others. Be sure to look for ones that state they restickable. Those are your best bet. I love that one too.

Thank you so much for leaving a comment. You have made my day - Lulu.
