I have a confession - I am a lemon addict. I cook with lemons, I clean with lemons and even though it is still just a pipe dream, I will someday retire to a place with lemon trees in the backyard.
With all this lemon love though, I have never been able to find a perfume that captures right notes of a true lemon scent - until now. I was in my local Sephora recently and stumbled upon Pacifica's Malibu Lemon Blossom perfume. One sniff and I was hooked. Bright citrus notes blended with herbs and a subtle saltiness that evokes the perfect beach day.
It isn't surprising that Pacifica was founded on the way home from a surfing trip by owners Brook Harvey Taylor and Billy Taylor. Their love of the outdoors has worked its way into every aspect of the company - from their excellent enviromental record (the company works with local growers/suppliers to lower their carbon footprint) to being the inspiration behind Pacifia's signature perfume blends.
Though the line started with just candles, it has since expanded to include perfume, body butters, body wash and soaps. Their unique scents like California Star Jasmine, Lotus Garden and Mexican Cocoa set Pacificia a pace apart from other perfume lines. As do their prices, a 1 oz spray perfume is $22 and their solid perfumes (Airport friendly and perfect for tossing in a purse) are only $9.
Just in time for Valentine's day, Pacifica has introduced their " I love Fragrance" giftset featuring 5 of their solid perfumes packaged in vintage-style printed tins.
Pacifica has very kindly sent me one of these gift sets to try and I have to say, I love the solid perfumes. It took a while to decide which scent to try first, and after settling on French Lilac about two hours ago, I haven't stopped sniffing my wrists, it is such a pretty,delicate floral with out being cloying or overpowering. Indian Coconut Nectar is up next. So yummy.
